Claude¶

Claude on the web, the desktop apps and mobile share one Connectors list: set it up once and it is there everywhere you use Claude.

Open Settings → Connectors In Claude, open your profile menu → Settings, then Connectors.
Add a custom connector Choose Add custom connector and paste the connector URL:

Leave everything else as it is — there is no key, secret or scope to fill in.
Connect and sign in Click Add, then Connect. Your browser opens Freight Right: sign in with your Shipment Manager login and approve the list you are shown.
Ask Claude about your freight Start a new chat. Claude shows a plug icon when it uses the connector, and tells you which tool it called.

Permissions¶

Claude asks before it uses each tool for the first time, and remembers your answer per tool — so a first conversation that looks at your account, finds a port and prices a lane will ask you three or four separate times.

Set them in one pass instead. In Settings → Connectors → Freight Right you can set every tool to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked before you start. A sensible setup:

If Claude says it needs more permissions¶

That happens when you connected before a capability existed. Settings → Connectors → Freight Right → Reconnect, and approve the updated list. Nothing is ever added to an existing connection silently.
